Biography
PhD in biology (1999), Principal Investigator (PI) in Bioassays-Biological Analysis Laboratory within Pollution Control Department at NRDI ECOIND. Strong background in microbiology, molecular and cell biology developed in research centers such as University of Sciences and Technology of Lille and Centre de Recherche sur les Macromolécules Végétales (CERMAV) of CNRS (France), ETH (Zurich, Switzerland), Stony Brook University (New York, USA), Medical University Center from Boston (Massachusetts, USA) or in University of Medicine (Baltimore, Maryland, SUA).
More than twenty years of experience in conducting national and international projects as well as publishing scientific results in high impact factor journals such as Science, Molecular Cell, Cancer Research, Frontiers in Microbiology, etc (WOS: publications >60, citations >1700, h-index 19). Overall, the research interest covers inter- and intracellular interactions as well as adaptive response at transcriptional and translational level linked to the environmental stress (climate change and anthropic pollution). The present research at ECOIND focus on environmental pollution and ecotoxicological assessment, monitoring, protection and bioremediation/biodegradation based on various biological models, from bacteria to fish.
