Biography
Ph.D. Eng. Ecaterina Anca Serban is a scientific researcher at the Pollution Control Department (Water, Soil and Waste Pollution Control) from the National Research and Development Institute for Industrial Ecology ECOIND, Bucharest, Romania. She graduated as an engineer at the University of Agronomic Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Bucharest with a specialization in Food Control and Expertise. She followed the master’s degree in the Analytical Chemistry and Environmental Engineering Department at Politehnica University of Bucharest with the title of chemical engineer. The Ph.D. studies were focused on the applications of liquid membrane transport to the selective separation of organic compounds; the studies were performed until 2019 within the Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Materials Science” Doctoral School from Politehnica University of Bucharest. Her present research activity includes the development and validation of analytical methods through spectrometric techniques ICP-EOS, AAS, CVAAS, AFS, and ICP-EOS-HG for detection of the metallic elements in environmental complex matrices (water, soil, waste, sediments, and plants).
