Abstract:
The main objective of the project is to highlight the current quality of soil and groundwater in different agricultural areas in Romania, in the context of climate changes. The investigations runs in October and November 2018 in several areas of Romania recognized for intensive agricultural specialization in certain types of crops (eg. Matca from Galati county, Baleni from Dambovita county, Gradinari from Olt county- recognized for vegetable growing, Candesti -Voinesti area, from Dambovita County - for apples fruit trees, Dragasani from Valcea county for vine, etc.). Soil and groundwater samples taken from the areas of interest will be characterized by analytical laboratory determinations in order to finally obtain the assessment of the quality status of the environmental components (soil and groundwater) in these intensely cultivated areas.
