Research results addressed to: substantiation of modern procedures applied for advanced removal of dangerous compounds from wastewater/water (establishing techniques, processes, mechanisms, kinetic processes); technologies/biotechnologies applied for wastewater/water treatment (removal of nutrients, xenobiotics / dangerous substances); solar-based environmental technologies – clean technologies with low energy inputs, and innovative biotechnologies presenting unconventional treatment processes; applied research for restructuring, revamping, and modernization of wastewater treatment plants for sustaining of legislative regulations, decrease of treatment costs, and sustainable development approach.
