Urban areas in Romania have suffered in the past two decades major changes, starting from the continued increase in urbanization, marked and development of urban infrastructure, the emergence of the new neighborhoods areas, commercial and residential areas, while reducing industrial activities or change of the industrial profile to commercial activities.
