The present paper summarizes the procedure and the results of a study concerning the influence of domestic installation systems on tap water quality in Brasov, Romania. Random daytime sampling procedure (RDT) was applied and 44 tap water samples were collected at the consumption point in March 2013. The monitoring data shows that the material used in the internal distribution system of the consumers’ buildings significantly impacted on the tap water quality in terms of metal pollution.en_US
