Title: | Custom-made dimensionally stable anodes for diclofenac electrochemical degradation | Authors: | Ihos, Monica Bogatu, Corneliu Cristea, Ionut Manea, Florica Pode, Rodica |
Keywords: | Electrochemical degradation;Dimensionally stable anodes;Diclofenac | Issue Date: | 2016 | Publisher: | SYSCOM 18 SRL | Abstract: | The aim of this paper was to assess the degradation of diclofenac (DCF), a non-biodegradable micropollutant on dimensionally stable anodes (DSA), Ti/RuO2-TiO2 and Ti/RuO2/SnO2-Sb2O5-RuO2. The degradation process was assessed by examination of ultraviolet (UV) spectra and total organic carbon (TOC) analysis. Also, the assessment of DCF by-products in the electrolysis solutions was carried out by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The aromatic ring opening and mineralization occurred. |
