Title: Study of possibilities to revaluation of useful substances from the sludge of drinking water treatment plants according with international trends
Authors: Stefanescu, Mihai
Keywords: Drinking water;Coagulants;Organic load
Issue Date: 2008
Abstract:
Studies and investigations which were performed in the frame of project theme led to the establishing of chemical sludge composition from some drinking water treatment plants, elaboration of optimal technological flow schemes for advanced recovery of coagulants (Al/Fe) and study of its reuse in coagulation-flocculation processes. Experimental data emphasiezed that solution of mixt coagulant which were recovered by treating the sludge from drinking water treatment plant (developed flow: acid digestion + removal of organic content by oxidation with H2O2)can be used for advanced removal of suspended matter and organic load from wastewater.
