Abstract: 
The invention relates to a method and a system for evaluating the environmental impact/risk of surface water bodies. According to the invention, the method is based on a structure of three condition­at tributes obtained by grouping the biological, physical-­chemical and hydro-morphological impact indicators of environment pollution and a decision attribute obtained by taking into consideration the concept of significant impact for pointing out the pollution and its consequences, which permits, based on the formalism of the rough sets theory, the ecological data to be organized and decision to be made under uncertainty regarding the classification of the pollution condition and its associated risks, using a scorecard for the impact/type of pollution category and environmental risk evaluation tables. The system, as claimed by the invention, comprises a computer system (A) in connection with a network (B) allowing to the users 1 ...N the access
to three computer, data (pre)processing and evaluation sub­systems (C, D and E) characteristic to the method proposed by the invention.
