The influence of the main technological parameters of modification process on the inorganic component content in the final product and sorption properties was investigated. The sorption properties of new combined sorbents toward microamounts of 137Cs were found out. The structure of obtained sorbents was studied by methods of X-Ray diffraction and the decrease in degree of crystallinity of the modified sample was shown. A comparative analysis of the thermal characteristics of the initial and the modified fiber was done.
