Biography
Catalina Stoica is a research scientist, she holds a Ph.D. in biology, H-index for ISI papers is 8. She has been working as a freshwater ecologist within the Bioassay-Biological Analysis Laboratory of NRDI ECOIND since 2009. Her research activity focuses on freshwater ecology, water resources management as well as ecology and taxonomy of benthic invertebrates. She is actively involved in topics related to ecological status assessment of freshwater systems, the impact of various chemicals on microorganisms, and genotoxicity. Recently, she has been focused on learning molecular biology techniques to evaluate the environmental biological diversity through metagenomics and metabarcoding methods.
