Abstract: 
Treatment of effluent from washing wool consists of diluting the effluent, separation of suspensions and emulsions by electroflotation, preceded by destabilising with indigenous polyelectrolytes (Ponilit), used individually or with aluminium precipitant. The process has 70-­97% turbidity removal efficiency and 70­-
95% fatty matter removal efficiency, obtaining useful concentrated sludge.
