Abstract
The aim of this paper was to assess the degradation of diclofenac (DCF), a non-biodegradable micropollutant on dimensionally stable anodes (DSA), Ti/RuO2-TiO2 and Ti/RuO2/SnO2-Sb2O5-RuO2. The degradation process was assessed by examination of ultraviolet (UV) spectra and total organic carbon (TOC) analysis. Also, the assessment of DCF by-products in the electrolysis solutions was carried out by gas chromatography coupled to mass spectrometry (GC-MS). The aromatic ring opening and mineralization occurred.
