Abstract
The preparation of calcium poly-sulfides comprises boiling of milk of lime for 1 20 minutes at 951 00 degrees C with a sulfurization agent, for separation of the resulting calcium polysulfides. Industrial cokingplant sulfur giving a sulfur:lime:water ratio of 1 :1 .05:7.48 ratio by weight is introduced into the reaction mixture.
