Abstract
The desulfurisation of sulfured hydrogen production waste water comprises sulfuric acid treatment to give pH = 2 by mechanical stirring for 45 minutes, with absorption of gases and recuperation of sulfured hydrogen. Bubbling with nitrogen for 60 minutes is finally followed by settling for 15 minutes to precipitate the sulfur for use in sodium sulfide production.
