Abstract
The main objective of the project was to find and to implement performant technologies for the remediation of soils polluted with POPs (organochlorinated pesticides) embodied in efficient and innovative technologies. The remediation technology was established after laboratory and pilot tests (over 100 days in case of biological remediation pilot). In the pilot experimental conditions both stimulated bioremediation and remediation with iron powder are feasible options for the treatment of HCH and DDX polluted soils. These technologies assure HCH removal efficiencies over 90% after five months and in case of DDT derivates (DDX) over 99,9% after one month of remediation
