Researches regarding the geochemical evaluation of the natural background and the establishment of reference thresholds for soil and water environment components, in the European context of implementation of strategic measures for soil and groundwater protection

The GEFOSA project has as a general objective the geochemical evaluation of the natural backgrounds, in protected natural areas, in order to establish reference thresholds for soil and water environment components. The evaluation is based on thorough investigations carried out in several seasonal campaigns in protected natural areas chosen as case studies (5 study areas), areas outside the influence of anthropic activities, in correlation with the influence factors (geological, geomorphological, edaphic, climate changes etc).
