Abstract:
The activity research of the project had the goal of new products developing, improved, based on biopolymers (starch, amylopectin, amylose) which were obtained by induced grafting with electron beam, as an alternative to classical chemical methods for polymeric materials fabrication having application in the field of water and wastewater treatment by coagulation – flocculation and their testing on laboratory and pilot scale. Their efficiencies were established for drinking water and wastewater treatment being 90% and 80-90% for suspended mater indicator in case of drinking water and wastewater from milk industry respectively. Comparatively results were found when the solid phase separation was done by settling and flotation, in case of flotation flocculent dose being smaller. Tested flocculants didn’t have toxic effect on aquatic organisms and biological sludge for the experimental tested doses
