Biography
Dr. Florentina Laura Chiriac is a 3rd degree Scientific researcher and she is the head of the Water, Soil, Wastes Pollution Control Laboratory (Pollution Control Department) from the National Research and Development Institute for Industrial Ecology ECOIND, Bucharest Romania. She graduated as a chemist at University of Bucharest- Faculty of chemistry, in 2010 and hold a Ph.D. in Chemistry since 2019. The Ph.D studies were performed at University of Bucharest, Doctoral school in chemistry, Inorganics Department and she wrote a thesis with the title: “Luminescent liquid crystals based on lanthanide complexes”. Her research activity includes development and validation of LC-MS/MS methods for detection and quantification of emerging organic pollutants in environmental matrices (water, soil, sediments, biota, sludge) and for identification of (bio)degradation products obtained from (bio)degradation processes.
