Biography
Dr.ing. Costel Bumbac is a Senior Research Scientist within the Environmental Technology and Technology Transfer Department of ECOIND, Romania. He has focused on developing and optimization of biological wastewater/drinking water treatment technologies, biodegradability studies, soil bioremediation and waste to biofuels technologies. His recent research work focusses on developing new biotechnologies for wastewater treatment and resource recovery based on granular activated algae (GRAALRecovery technology) and microalgae-based wastewater treatment contributing for the development and full-scale implementation (in India and Peru) of the BSP system within the INNOQUA project.
